The bill is then sent to a committee within the House of Congress in which it was introduced it was introduced.
The committee has the first chance to decide the bill's fate as it can keep the bill or send it back to the floor to be voted on.
Then it is voted on and if it passes then it is sent on to the other House of Congress.

Next, it is voted on by the 2nd House of Congress and if it passes without disagreement between the Houses it is sent to the President.
